Synopsis[]
At the school grounds Leonardo is excited about school sports festival and yells that the red team is going to win. Urashimada is thinking that it is weird that everyone is cheering Leonardo on, so he says that there is only one Leonardo so it is fine, if there were four it would cause a commotion. Urashimada looks around and sees all four Turtles and freaks out. Urashimada's classmates are excited to be on the same side as the Turtles and Urashimada is shocked that they are already on friendly terms. The girls on Urashimada's class are saying how cute Michelangelo is and how masculine Raphael is, Urashimada is surprised how popular the Turtles are becoming.
Leonardo says that with all four of them, they will win. First sport is Tamaire and Michelangelo volunteers. Michelangelo rapidly throws balls to the basket and fills it up, he (prematurely) celebrates and then throws a shuriken which slices through the basket and all the balls fall from the basket, Urashimada is angry and yells why is he throwing shuriken. Next is Kibasen where Donatello, Leonardo and Urashimada are carrying Raphael, Raphael caatches hats of opposing teams quickly, but Donatello almost stumbles and says that Raphael is heavy, this is the opening that opposing teams needed and one of them mange to grab the hat from the head of Raphael. Accidentally the opposing team member also grabs Raphaels face mask, and Raph gets embarrassed and runs away crying because a ninja is not supposed to give away his true identity.
Michelangelo goes after and yells that he has a spare mask, but drops it and Urashimada sees finds it. Urashimada has been wanting to try it on, so he does, when Urashimada's classmates see him, they think he is Raphael and when the Turtles come back, Leonardo says that there are 2 Raphaels. Raphael goes face to face with Urashimada Taro and and asks who he is, Urashimada answers that he is Urashimada Taro. Urashimada tries to take out the mask but it is sticky, at the same time Michelangelo is wondering where the spare mask covered in glue went.
Next event is a obstacle course between Urashimada and Raphael, and the loser will be the faker. Urashimada decides to intentionally lose, but Raphael threatens to punish him if he loses so Urashimada realises that he has not choice but to win. First obstacle is Metalhead shooting baseballs, Raphael starts to deflect the balls with his sai and kicks Metalhead. The next obstacle is Leonardo, who says Raphael that he already knows who Raphael is, that is he knows that he is the impostor, and Raphael calls him a idiot.
The baseball battered Urashimada catches up to Raphael and runs past him and Leonardo to the next obstacle, which is a pizza eating zone. Urashimada says why is Michelangelo eating one of the pizzas and all the other Turtles come rushing and bonk their heads to Urashimada's. The Turtles start to squabble over who gets to eat the pizza, and during it the mask comes off from Urashimada and flies off. Leonardo is surprised that Urashimada suddently appeared and Donatello is wondering where the other Raphael vanished. They all notice a pizza with Raphael's mask and Leonardo says that they need to "protect this delicious looking genuine article from the fake" and draws his sword against Raphael. Raphael yells that the other Turtles are complete idiots.
Urashimada Taro's red team ended up losing that year's school sports festival.
Notes[]
- Tamaire (玉入れ) is a game traditionally played by elementary school children at sport festivals. It takes about 200 stuffed balls, 2 baskets and 2 poles to hold the baskets. Any number of children can participate. The winner is determined by seeing how many balls can be thrown into each basket within a certain time. Traditionally there are two teams; one is the Red-team and the other is the White-team. Each team has about 100-stuffed balls colored Red or White. The balls are placed on the ground first and the children pick them up and throw them into the basket, which is on a pole about 1.5 meters or 2 meters (approximately 5-6½ feet) high.
- Kibasen (騎馬戦), translates to Cavalry Fight, and is a game with a team of four competitors working together, with three carrying the fourth, who wears a bandana (hachimaki) or hat. The team is defeated if they are knocked over or, more commonly, if their bandana/hat is removed by an opponent.
