Summary[]

Inside the Tecnodromo, Krang is working on a new device. Shredder complains about how he won’t show him what he’s building. Krang replies that he’s tired of failures, so he’s going to put into practice a plan exclusively his own. He slaps Shredder in the chest and says that he and his mutants had better stay away.

Later, at the city power plant, a worker confronts a large man in coveralls and asks who he is because he’s never seen him before. The man, Krang in disguise, explains that he just transferred from the night shift. He bends down to connect a device to the main cable and the worker asks what he’s doing. Krang says it’s the new anti-blackout machine and then starts to reach into a pocket, offering to show the worker the installation order. The worker says forget it, because he hates paperwork. The thing he wants explained is why the man’s voice is coming out of his stomach. Krang tells him that he’s practicing a ventriloquist act. The worker comments on his choice of hobbies and leaves. Peeking out through his coveralls, Krang says now that the man is finally gone, he can finish his work.

A short while later, loud sirens disturb the peace in the lair. Leonardo shouts for Donatello to turn the stereo down. Donatello says he has nothing to do with the sounds, they are coming from the world above. Leonardo decides that they’d better look, so the Turtles climb up from the tunnels. They immediately see several police vehicles drive past and decide that the police may need some reinforcement. The Turtles leap onto the back of a police truck and hitch a ride to the power plant.

On arrival, what they see makes them realize it was a good thing they came along. A giant, partially see-through Krang faces off with the Turtles and police officers. In the Tecnodromo, Krang, still inside the workman body, watches the action on a big screen monitor. Behind him are Shredder, Bebop and Rocksteady. Krang says that as predicted the four fools have arrived and now his Energy Replicant can do away with them. When he says that he hopes Shredder is learning something, he receives a grunt in reply. Bebop and Rocksteady are enjoying the movie, especially since it doesn’t show advertising every two minutes.

Back on the surface, Leonardo prepares to attack, and calls to the others to teach the thing a lesson. However, when he touches the replicant, he receives a big shock. His brothers come to check on him, and Leonardo tells them the thing has a twenty-thousand-volt touch. Donatello leaps forward, saying he’ll take his wood battle staff in, because it’s perfect for this type of fight. When he swings the , it goes right through the thing and then the replicant strikes Donatello in return, delivering a shock. The police begin shooting at it, to no effect. Leonardo says that it’s made of pure energy and they can’t hit it. Michelangelo points out that it can burn them.

Raffaello spots a device attached to the replicant and says that it must be its nerve center. Leonardo congratulates him on his discovery, but states that they won’t be able to hit it because it’s too screened. Raffaello asks who talked about hitting it? He sees the cable attached to the device and decides to find out where it leads. Donatello tells him to hurry up because he doesn’t like playing lightning rod. Raffaello trails the cable for a little ways and then discovers the machine Krang attached to the main power plant cable.

Though he thinks the machine might have an off switch, Raffaello decides he hasn’t time to look for it. Using his sai, he stabs the machine and then runs back to rejoin his brothers in time to see “Mister Electric” start vanishing. Leonardo asks how Raffaello did it. Raffaello says that Krang didn’t pay his electric bill, so he cut off his power. In the Tecnodromo, Krang is not happy that the Turtles won again. Angry, he begins throwing things at Bebop and Rocksteady, who complain that this time, it’s not their fault. Krang says he knows it, and that makes him even more furious. Off to one side, Shredder watches the abuse and wishes they could unplug Krang, too.
