The Channel 6 mini-camera is a portable news camera used primarily by April O'Neil during on-scene news reporting. There is a slot on the side where a microphone can be plugged into so that a reporter can question and film at the same time.

When a Giant Footbot attacks New York City, April O'Neil arrives on scene with her mini-camera to record its rampage. She gets too close to the huge robot and loses the camera when the Footbot snatches her up off the ground. Giant Footbot!
While investigating Thump Construction during the events of Demolition Mission, April O'Neil takes along her mini-camera. She films her interview with the Thump Construction President, but soon learns that he has been hypnotized. Further investigation leads to Shredder, who is behind a plot to destroy the Turtles' lair. Shredder knocks the mini-camera from her hands.
