Channel 6 TV (also known as Channel Six News) is a television station in New York City.
History[]
News reporter April O'Neil is just signing off from her regular broadcast when the Turtles visit her on set, all wearing disguises. They tell her they need help because Splinter has been kidnapped. April immediately goes back on the air with a newsflash. She tells the audience a kidnap has taken place and Channel 6 appeals to all vigilant viewers to contact the station. An incensed Burne Thompson, April's boss, storms out of his office and fires April on the spot. He is still yelling and pointing his finger in April's face when Leonardo has had enough and shoves the man back into his office, closing and locking him inside.
Operating under Oroku Saki's orders, Baxter Stockman calls Channel 6 and tells April he saw the kidnappers. Though it was meant as an ambush, the Turtles defeat their foes. After they free Splinter, the group returns to Channel 6 and delivers a blackmail message to Thompson, threatening to tell his wife about his girlfriend. Thompson quickly rehires April, apologizing for what he calls a 'misunderstanding'. Teenage Mutant Hero Turtles Introduction
