Chakahachi (ちゃかはち) was the leader of the Chakahachi Clan in the 1987-1996 animated TV series. His ghost appears as the main antagonist in the episode "Farewell, Lotus Blossom".
In life, Chakahachi was a powerful sorcerer who tragically lost his wife, and vowed not to stop looking for her even from beyond the grave. His remains were placed in an elaborate urn with a magical pearl in it, which recreated for him a world based on long-ago Japan. When the urn was shattered, Chakahachi's ghost emerged from it, still seeking his wife.
Deprived of the pearl, he began magically transforming New York into a replica of medieval Japan, while still searching for his wife. This only stopped when Lotus Blossom and Leonardo returned the pearl to him, and he recognized that Lotus contained the spirit of his long-lost wife. With the urn repaired and the pearl back in place, Chakahachi and his wife were able to rest in peace.
