Central Park is a landscaped city park in the New York City borough of Manhattan, and one of the largest areas of greenery in the city. As its name implies, the Central Park is located in the center of the island of Manhattan.
The episode The Incredible Shrinking Turtles of the 1987-1996 animated series begins with the turtles practicing Japanese martial arts at central park.[1]
The episode Too Hot to Handle of the same series has Filo Sopho hiding underneath the Central Park.
A snowed-in Central Park, due to the effects of Tora's Weather-Changing Satellite, is the setting for Scene 3 of the NES game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game.
In the Fleetway Publications comic story Time Terror, Central Park is the location chosen by Krang to place his Giant Crystal Hourglass.
The Park is also home to the Central Park Zoo, from which Shredder occasionally "borrows" to create more mutants.
In the 2003 TV series episode Meet Casey Jones, Casey tells Raphael "You want a rematch!? Check me out Friday night, Central Park!" On Friday night, the Turtles take their newly created Battle Shell to Central Park. Donatello tells his brothers "...and on your left is Central Park, 843 acres of landscaped beauty in the center of the city". When they locate Casey, Raphael rides out to meet him on his new Shell Cycle. They end up confronted by Purple Dragons and Casey, along with the Turtles, do battle in Central Park.
