A memorial is a formally-designated object or location people which people may visit for the purpose of remembering a particular person, event, etc. Graves are a very common type of memorial. Memorials can also have multiple purposes—for example, Kurtzburg Memorial Hospital is both a memorial and a functioning healthcare facility.

In general, this category should contain memorials for which the act of visiting to remember something is itself a significant draw, independent of other active purposes. If something merely has "memorial" in its title but there is no real evidence that anyone is intended to visit it for the purpose of remembering, then it's possible it may not belong in this category.
