One night in the dark streets of New York City, an innocent man, named Jim has been confronted by a gang of street punks. Just as the thugs are about to assault Jim, he was saved by someone, who brutally defeated the thugs. Jim's savior is revealed to be Casey Jones! Jim thanks Casey for saving him and asks him to have a drink with him, which Casey gladly accepts. Casey, with his new friend, go to Torchy's, where they meet up with bartender Jesse, who's Casey's old friend. Casey then begins to tell his story of his life...
It all happened many years ago, he had a brother, called Davy Jones. Casey and Davy had a close sibling bond, however, there were some differences: Davy enjoyed sports and was the smart kid in school (much to his father's delight), while Casey enjoyed arts from comics and graffiti. It appears that Davy was parents' favorite, while Casey was more and more neglected, upsetting the latter.
Eventually, Casey's relationship with his brother became strained after Casey got kicked out of high school and moved to his new apartment. Casey then becomes ass thanks to the comics.
One afternoon, Davy visited his brother and Casey asks him what he wants, to which Davy asks his brother to come to his hockey game tonight, but Casey coldly refuses and tells him to get lost and tells him that he thinks that his parents hate him while they favor Davy more. Davy reveals that his parents loved him and wanted to him to be the member of the family. Finally, Casey explodes at his brother and reveals his frustration towards his brother for always being favored by his parents while he's been neglected. Davy was upset by this and asks Casey to not be such a jerk. Enraged, Casey attacks his brother and is about to fight him, but Davy was more skilled fighter and so he angrily walks away.
Davy feels remorseful and thinks he should apologize to Casey and returns to his apartment and apologizes to his brother, who apologizes to him as well for his stubbornness. Finally, two brothers reconciled, breaking their stranglehold. As Davy was about to walk away, he was confronted by the street gang, who violently beat him up, fatally injuring poor Davy. Casey calls ambulance for his brother, but he was too late. Davy was taken to the hospital, where his family gathered up, with father blaming Casey for this accident. The doctor comes and reveals that Davy died from injuries, much to the sadness of his family. Mrs. Jones starts sobbing, while Herb furiously lashes out at Casey for his selfishness, until, finally in fit of rage, he disowns his son completely.
Distraught with Davy's death, Casey goes back to his apartment, so he can vent his sadness by watching TV. Upon seeing vigilante plans about fighting crime who wanted to take over the city, Casey was inspired by this so he became the vigilante who is now today.
Once he finishes, Jim was deeply touched by this story. Casey leaves the bar. As Jim begins to express of how story was, until the bartender, Jesse reveals that this story is not true and that Casey was the only child and Davy never existed. Jim is left disappointed, wanting to know who case you really is. He goes outside to see Casey is beating up a couple of thugs (who are threatening woman) and asks:"Who are you, Casey? Who are you?" as the story ends.
