Plot
In a voiceover, Casey Jones explains that New York City is slowly returning to normal after the Kraang Invasion. Although while the Turtles battled the Kraangs in Dimension X, Casey is frustrated about being sidelined during the Battle for New York. He notes that while most of the city has pulled together after the invasion, there are others that still terrorize the city, namely, the Purple Dragons.
At that very moment, the Purple Dragons are seen robbing a bank. Casey drops in to stop them, only to encounter their new leader, Hun. After a struggling battle, Hun easily defeats Casey and makes his escape with the other Purple Dragons as the police arrive, leaving Casey in great pain.
Meanwhile, the Turtles and Splinter move back to their old lair, which was wrecked during the Kraang Invasion. They start getting to work cleaning the place up. Leo slowly cleans the living room. Donnie finds his lab destroyed. Splinter restores his family picture, wondering where her daughter could be. Michelangelo cleans up the kitchen. He sees that the food in the fridge has spoiled. He then sees a slice of old pizza that is roach-covered and moldy. He then eats it, knowing that he’ll reacquaint himself later for getting sick.
Trivia
- A preview of Casey and Hun's first fight was shown at the NYCC 2014.
- Hun's design is explicitly inspired by Bruce Lee.
- Don Vizioso has a classic style nude painting of himself hanging on the wall above his table in his restaurant.
- "Vizioso" means "Vicious" in Italian.
- When Casey faces Rahzar and Fishface he says "The class is pain 101, your instructor is Casey Jones." a line Casey used in the 1990 film.
- "Auman chemicals" is a reference to one of the show's producers Brandon Auman.
- The Auman chemicals sign resembles the TGRI sign from the Turtles' 1991 live-action film.
- In the back label of the Chee-Z Balls it is read "Organically Harvested Cheese Air - 0g" and "Food** to Air Ratio - 1/78", a joke about how snack bags are always half filled with air (to prevent the snacks from cracking).
