Casey Jones is a character appearing in the movie adaptation comics, beginning with TMNT: The Movie. He is a vigilante, a best friend to Raphael, and April O'Neil's love interest.
History[]
The Ninja Turtles witness Channel 6 ace reporter April O'Neil being attacked by a group of punks and intervene. However, Raphael loses a sai in the fight, which is picked up and stashed away by April. Unhappy about this, and about being told to let it go by Splinter, Raph heads out to see a movie. After the movie lets out, Raph sees a purse snatcher rob a nearby woman. He trips the man and retrieves the purse for the woman. Meanwhile, Casey Jones has been watching the news in his apartment and grows angrier by the minute. When the purse thief and his buddy run into the park to hide from Raph, they are confronted by Casey, who begins to beat them silly with his ice hockey stick. Raph interrupts because he thinks that Casey is getting carried away. The pair end up fighting and cover several city blocks during their battle. They finally call a draw and separate.
Sometime later, while Casey is on a rooftop ready to do some crimefighting, he spots Raph running the rooftops. After Raph is beaten and thrown through the skylight in April's apartment, the Turtles find themselves overwhelmed by the sheer number of Foot Ninja who enter and attack. Casey suddenly appears to lend his aid, which buys April and the Turtles the time they need to escape before the apartment is fully engulfed in flames. Casey leaves with them in April's van and they drive to her old farmhouse. At the farmhouse, while waiting for Raph to heal, Casey forms a bond with Donatello and grows close to April.Eastman and Laird's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie
