Canale 6 TV is a television station in New York City. It appears in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (Rizzoli) comics. Though most often referred to as Canale 6, in a few of the comics it is called "Channel 6".
Canale 6 is the TV station where April O'Neil is employed as a reporter. Her boss is Barney Thompson, listed as President and News Editor. Vernon Fenwick is both a cameraman and reporter, and a rival for April's position. Another employee is Irma, who is a Canale 6 secretary and April's best human friend.
The station's newsvans, L'Unita' Mobile di Canale 6, are sometimes cream and white with the station name in blue on the sides and back, sometimes shown as two shades of orange with the station name in yellow, and at others times they are pink with the station name in yellow.
History[]
Canale 6 is first mentioned during the events of La Nascita di un' amicizia when April, representing the TV station, does a live broadcast on the thefts of scientific materials. Her reports draw the attention the Clan del Piede, and a gang of thugs, led by Rocksteady, arrive at the end of the broadcast to deliver a message. April escapes into the sewer tunnels and is rescued by the Ninja Turtles.
In Il contorsionista, the circus is in town and the Turtles want to go, but not alone. Dressed in disguises, the four Turtles approach the Canale 6 building to ask April to join them. They wait until she comes outside and get her to go with them.
