Some TMNT stuff really isn't for little kids. |
Booders Falls is a town in Mirage continuity located in Massachusetts, situated on the Connecticut River. It is the main setting for the story River Hymn and features in a small portion of Old Man River.
After Raphael was demutated by the leech Bloodsucker, his brothers, April, and Casey give chase in an effort to track down the monstrous creature and restore Raph. Their pursuit leads them to Booders Falls, where Bloodsucker has been masquerading as a game warden so he can feed.
Booders Falls was founded by Colonel Samuel Booder I. He established the town along the river so he could use it to power the machines of the factories the town would be built on. According to Abanak, the land was wrested by force by Booder and his posse from the Algonquin, and over the years, the Booder clan has eradicated the Algonquin population, down to Abanak as its last surviving member. Samuel Booder VI, Colonel Booder's descendant, essentially runs the town, as he owns all of the factories, has the police on his direct payroll, and his uncle is the town judge. When ordered by the federal government to stop dumping the waste from his factories into the river, Booder instead realigned his factories' piping to dump into a hidden underground lake instead.
Abanak, Donatello, Michelangelo, Leonardo, and Casey work to depose Booder and shut down his illegal and immoral dumping. Although he got away from them, he was slain by Bloodsucker in his efforts to leave town. Abanak relinquished his status as the environmentally-minded "Ghost of Booders Falls" to three young boys - Cookie, Ray, and Owen, but it is unknown what became of the leadership of Booders Falls.
