GoldMutant: Agreed. By the way, out of curiosity, what do you think of my little Mikey gallery a few posts up? They're what I think are some of the better portrayals of Mikey in other incarnations.
Those little moments are extremely cute in the other versions, not going to lie man. :) Especially liking the image above the Mikey hugging Raph gif, I'm guessing Image Comics judging by the missing eye. Now, just need to use this as inspiration hopefully for writing a good Michelangelo one day in my scripting. That and I really need to pick up a TMNT comic someday once I can make some money. XD
I really wish one day we can truly get a Mikey on television that has these elements. I always thought Mikey in a series should not be simple comic relief to promote merchandising; though comic relief is often the character's main trait, I know for a fact Mikey can be a great character. The Turtles are far from one dimensional in these traits, and I hope one day in a cartoon we get that. It's why in a way I've liked Townsend Coleman and Robbie Rist the most of the Mikey voices too, they aren't too grating but also do make me feel happy seeing Mike on screen.
I will say from what I've seen, it can range from Mike or Raph being the worst treated Turtles on the show, with Karai and Casey being very close. Raph's treatment is poor and Mike's "developments" disgust me, I honestly wish something can give in the future. I'm no longer a huge Nick TMNT fan, but it does have elements I do like. I do wonder if Josh Keaton might make a great Michelangelo or Donatello myself or give James Arnold Taylor a spin.
