Oh, I just realized... I know why the show is going on such a long hiatus for months. The new film is about to be released. They did this in 2014 too—they took away all attention from the TV show for months while they heavily exclusively promoted movie. All this must be timed to give the new movie's theatrical run as long a push as possible without the TV show distracting audiences.

Although, back in 2014, the TV show was still ''good'', so it actually was quite a bit more frustrating to wait that long for new episodes. But since the TV show has gotten really, ''really'' awful, I no longer feel that impatience. Instead, I just feel sad as the show I love continues to suck. Funny how it used to be the show that was great and the movie that was terrible; but it seems they finally managed to make the show catch up with the movies in that regard: Higher budget special effects, zero attempt to write decent story.

Although, back in 2014, the TV show was still good, so it actually was quite a bit more frustrating to wait that long for new episodes. But since the TV show has gotten really, really awful, I no longer feel that impatience. Instead, I just feel sad as the show I love continues to suck. Funny how it used to be the show that was great and the movie that was terrible; but it seems they finally managed to make the show catch up a little more with the movies in that regard: Higher budget special effects, zero attempt to write decent story.
