When Rita Repulsa comes to confront Shredder over his possession of her Dragonzord Power Coin, Bebop and Rocksteady are guarding the front of the Technodrome. MMPR/TMNT #2
While Rita and Shredder battle, Bebop opens fire on Baboo, Squatt and Finster, who have ducked for cover. Goldar strikes Rocksteady and then shouts for his cowardly comrades to rally to his side. MMPR/TMNT #3
After failing to destroy the city with her monster Wyldfyre and the escape of Tommy Oliver from his cell thanks to the de-powered Rangers and Casey Jones, Rita Repulsa under Shredder's orders uses her magic wand to make Bebop and Rocksteady grow giant sized to destroy New York, with the Turtle Rangers piloting the Megazord to try and stop them. The Turtles and April pilot the Megazord against the gigantic Bebop and Rocksteady. The Turtles break away to battle Shredder, then get back into action against the giant mutants, hitting Bebop with the Megazord. Angered that someone hit his buddy, Rocksteady lowers his head and charges Metalhead, shouting “eat horn”. Metalhead catches his long horn and delivers an electrical charge which knocks Rocksteady out. The Megazord catches Bebop and throws him across the park. MMPR/TMNT #5
Raphael and Tommy Oliver sneak into the Moon Palace on a recon mission, but after discovering several morphers, they are caught by Shredder and Lord Zedd. Shredder tells them he’s rather proud of the morphers, and then calls out to Bebop and Rocksteady to come say hello to their friends. Stepping into the room, Bebop says that it’s a waste that it’s just those two, but Rocksteady says to consider it a test run. Raph reminds Shredder that they’ve beaten those two a bunch of times, but Shredder replies “not like this”. Lifting morphers, Bebop and Rocksteady together shout “Shadow-Grid Activate!” They are immediately transformed and both express their delight. Raph wonders how they did that and Tommy says he has no idea. Saying that it doesn’t matter, Raph charges ahead, ignoring Tommy’s call to wait. He says that the two mutants are still slow and stupid. However, Bebop leaps over him and then smashes Raph into the floor. He says he’s bigger and badder and can finally crack Raph’s shell in two. Tommy jumps at Rocksteady as he tells him he’ll never be Rangers. Unfortunately, Rocksteady proceeds to deliver several hard punches that throw Tommy into a wall. Rocksteady tells Bebop he thinks he hurt him, but his buddy believes they can hurt him way more. MMPR/TMNT III #1
