Bebop is a recurring character in the Le Tartarughe Ninja comics. He begins as a common thug who reports to Shredder and is later mutated.
History[]
When an excavation crew begin work at a dump site, they discover improperly disposed mutagen. It is taken to the evidence holding center for the New York Police Department. Before long, Piede Ninjia assault the guards and make their way in to steal mutagen. At the same time, more Piede Ninjia break into the local city zoo and steal a warthog and a rhinoceros. Later, a hazmat-suited Shredder breaks open one of the stolen canisters over two of his punk thug minions, Bebop and RockSteady, mutating them into an anthropomorphic warthog and rhino, respectively.
The next day, the two mutants and some ninja show up at Channel 6 to wreck the place. Bebop spots April O'Neil, and the two of them give chase. April presses a button on an alert beacon Donatello had given her, and just as they capture her, the Tartarughe arrive. They beat up the mutants, causing them to flee, and the ninja, who simply surrender. Bebop e RockSteady
After Shredder has Professor Neely kidnapped, he forces the scientist to create a device that can track mutagen that has combined with a living organism. Fearing for his life, Neely does as he's told. Shredder then hands the device to Da-tsuo who in turn gives it to RockSteady. He and Bebop take a crew of Piede Ninjia out with them to test the device and soon locate Splinter out walking by himself. They capture him and take him back to the Clan del Piede hideout. There, Shredder turns Splinter over to RockSteady with instructions to make him talk and then tear him to pieces. Fortunately, Splinter is able to mentally link with Michelangelo and the Tartarughe Ninja come to the rescue. Knocking out some Piede Ninjia, they steal their uniforms and are then called inside by RockSteady, who doesn't know their true identities.
