Bats are a flying mammal species native to Earth. Despite popular conception, they are not rodents, but instead, the sole members of the order Chiroptera.

Bats are most common in TMNT media as anthropomorphic characters, whether mutants or aliens. However, there are some instances in which normal bats have been present, mostly as enemies in video games.
