Some TMNT stuff really isn't for little kids. |
The Batmobile is Batman's personal automobile and primary mode of transportation. The bulletproof Batmobile has numerous special features including automated taser defenses that can be deployed against enemies attacking the car. The Batmobile also has incredible maneuverability, able to make sharp turns on a dime.
History[]
While touring at Powers Industrial, Barbara Gordon witnesses a powerful generator being stolen by the Foot Clan and also spots four meta-humans during the robbery. She relays the information to Batman, who fights the Foot Clan at Wayne Enterprises before he is defeated by the Shredder. The four meta-humans Batgirl was referring to are the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, who have arrived in Gotham City to stop Shredder's schemes and find out who his new ally is. After defending Wayne Enterprises from Penguin, the Turtles spot the Batmobile in an alley and practically drool over it. Batman appears and a fight ensues, with both sides believing the other is working with Shredder. Batman kicks Raphael in the stomach, and the Turtle informs him that it takes more than a jerk in a Halloween costume to shock him. Raphael charges at Batman, who dodges his strike and then voice activates the Batmobile's automated taser, set at level seven, to stun the angry Turtle.
Later, after Batman and the Turtles have discovered they are on the same side, they decide to join forces to stop Shredder and Ra's al Ghul. They figure out that the villains will be putting their evil plan into operation at Ace Chemicals. Before they leave the Batcave, Michelangelo calls dibs on the Batmobile, despite the fact that the Turtles arrived in Gotham City in the Turtle Van. During the drive to Ace Chemicals, Mikey admires all of the buttons in the Batmobile, and starts to ask if he can punch one, but Batman tells him not to touch anything. However, later when the enemy have trapped the Batmobile with cables, Batman tells Michelangelo to press some buttons. An excited Michelangelo announces he will press all the buttons, and proceeds to do just that. His action activates the Batmobile defenses, which include bullets, rockets, a bat signal, and jet propulsion, which frees the Batmobile from the trap. Michelangelo is still frantically pressing buttons until Batman pushes him back and tells him "Nice job."
