The Batarang is the best-known signature weapon of Batman. Despite its name, it functions more as a shuriken, although the originals were not bladed and did return to the user like a boomerang.
Other characters who have utilized Batarangs include Batgirl, Robin, and Nightwing, although the latter two have also used bird-like "Wing Dings" or "Birdarangs" instead. Damian Wayne also has an R-shaped shuriken he sometimes uses.
