Basketball is a ballgame where two teams compete in throwing a ball into the basket on the opposing team's side.

The Ninja Turtles play basketball with Splinter in the beginning of the 1987 TV series episode "Peking Turtle". They are somewhat disappointed when he turns out to be far better at the game than they are, despite never having played before, and he beats them at nine out of ten games.
In 1991, Konami released handheld LCD game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Basketball.
In the beginning of the film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows, the Ninja Turtles watch a home game with the basketball team New York Knicks inside the Madison Square Garden, though their viewing is cut short when Michelangelo accidentally causes one of the players to slip on a slice of pizza.
