The Turtles play basketball with Splinter in the beginning of the 1987 TV series episode "Peking Turtle". They are somewhat disappointed when he turns out to be far better at the game than they are, despite never having played before, and he beats them at nine out of ten games.

In 1991, Konami released handheld LCD game Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Basketball.
