Barbara Gordon is the daughter of the Gotham City police commissioner James Gordon and sidekick of Batman known as Batgirl.
History[]
The Clown and The Clan[]
After the Batcomputer alerts him to a spike of strange energy in the previous issue, Batman waits atop a Gotham City building for Robin to arrive. When he does, he has Batgirl in tow because the pair were on a team-up when Alfred called. Batman explains to the pair that these strange portals are how the Joker|Joker and others escaped the Arkham Asylum. All three enter a portal and end up in New York City’s Central Park, just as the Turtles and April O'Neil are investigating the same portal. The two teams, each thinking the other is an enemy, begin to fight. They soon figure out they are on the same side and turn to face the true menace – Poison Ivy and Snakeweed.
Greener on the Other Side[]
Batgirl points out that Snakeweed’s evolution is actually not his doing at all, which leads to the understanding the Poison Ivy is controlling him. While Batgirl, Batman, April, and three of the Turtles keep Snakeweed busy, Robin and Raphael go after Poison Ivy. Taking her down takes down Snakeweed as well. After shoving Poison Ivy back through the portal, the Bat team goes back to the lair to regroup and figure out what’s happening. Donatello begins flirting with Batgirl, which Raph finds very awkward. The groups soon split into teams to investigate strange occurrences in the East Village and Chinatown.
To Laugh so not to Cry[]
In Chinatown, Donatello, Michelangelo, Robin and Batgirl battle a contingent of Footbot Soldiers. While fighting side-by-side, April and Batgirl discuss the Joker. When Mikey says they know exactly where the Shredder’s hideout is, Robin reaches out to communicate with Batman in order to relay the info. The two groups meet up in Shredder’s throne room, with Batgirl and April still working together. After defeating Joker and Harley Quinn, Donatello and Batman talk about the receptor beacons and wonders who could have created them.
Through the Looking Glass[]
Mikey and Robin stand watch over a pair of portals while the others head to the lair. As Donatello is working, his injured arm causes him pain and Batgirl goes to the kitchen to fetch him some ice. There she encounters Ice Cream Kitty but isn’t surprised because she’s already been warned about the mutant by Raph. After figuring out where the portals will appear, the two groups of heroes head to the Gotham Tea Room in Gotham City. After a fight, they manage to subdue the Mad Hatter. While they are saying their goodbyes, Batgirl gives Don a kiss on the cheek.
Epilogue: The Terror of the Kraang[]
Trying to enjoy a night at the movies, Batman and Robin are interrupted by a Kraang invasion. When Batman reaches out to Batgirl for help, he finds out she’s already at ground zero fighting Kraangdroids. The Turtles suddenly drop through a portal to join the fight. Donatello awkwardly apologizes to Batgirl for the Kraang hordes. Don asks about the older Robin and Batgirl says he’s moved on. Before Don has a chance to be glad about this, Nightwing arrives. The use of special Fear Gas created by Jonathan Crane sends the Kraang back to Dimension X. Before the Turtles leave for their own dimension, Don slinks up to Batgirl and wearing a goofy grin, tells her it was good to see her again. Raph drags him away.
