[Opening sequence and theme song.]
[Pan down from the city to the sewer tunnels below. The Turtles float on the water in various watercraft.]
Leonardo "Ah, this is the life, eh, Raphael?"
Raphael "Aw, I don’t know. The rest of the world gets to go to the beach, but we have to swim in the sewer."
Donatello "Look on the bright side, at least you won't get sunburned."
Michelangelo "I'm gonna do some serious surfing."
Raphael "Uh, Michelangelo, I don't think you're gonna catch any major curls down here."
Michelangelo "Maybe not, but at least I can catch a current. Cowabunga!
Ah, there's nothing like catching a wave to take a Turtle's mind off his problems.

[He surfs into some fast moving water.]

[He suddenly sees a waterfall ahead.]

[He goes over the waterfall and loses his surfboard. The current pulls him along and just as he’s about to go over another waterfall, a Merman lifts him out of the water.]
Michelangelo "Thanks for saving my life, dude. Uh, who are you anyway?"
Alim Coelacanth "How rude of me. I am Alim Coelacanth."
Michelangelo "Alim Who-lacanth?"
Alim "Coelacanth. My name comes from the prehistoric species of fish to which I am related."
[He hops out of the water to sit next to Michelangelo, who can now see the man has a tail but no legs.]
Michelangelo "Holy guacamole! You're like a-- a Merdude.
Dudes, dudes! You'll never guess what I just met."
[He runs around the ledge alongside the sewer river.]
Dudes, dudes! You'll never guess what I just met."
Raphael "No, wait. A Teenage Mutant Ninja Wombat."
Michelangelo "Uh-uh. A merdude."
Donatello "A what?"
Michelangelo "His name is Alim Corolla. Koala. I mean, he's just a merdude. He's got this big tail and gills and—"
Leonardo "Michelangelo, are you sure you haven't had one too many pizzas?"
[Alim pops up from the water next to Donatello and Leonardo’s boat.]
Alim "Greetings, strange creatures."
Michelangelo "[chuckles] There. See? I told you."
Donatello "Wow. Who, uh--? What are you?"
Alim "I am Alim Coelacanth, from the city of Atlantis."
Leonardo "Atlantis?"
Raphael "But that's just a myth."
Donatello "Not necessarily. The Greek philosopher Plato described the sinking of Atlantis in the 4th century B.C.
But I thought the Atlanteans were, I don't know, human."
[Alim hops out of the water.]

[Alim stands upright. The Turtles step out of the watercrafts to join him on the ledge.]
Alim "They are. All except me."
Leonardo "Well, how did you wind up in the sewers?"
Alim "I left Atlantis to travel the oceans in the search of others of my kind."
Donatello "Wow. Did you find any?"
Alim "Alas, no. This underground river was the one place I hadn't searched. In fact, I really should be getting home."
Michelangelo "Well, how long have you been away from Atlantis, dude?"
Alim "Uh, well, let's see. What time is it now?
About 200 years."
[Mumbles to himself.]

Michelangelo "Whoa. Are you ever late for dinner."
Alim "Yes, I really must hurry back. Uh, you wouldn't know which direction Atlantis is in, would you?"
Donatello "Uh, no. But if you'd like, we can try and help you find it."
Alim "I'd really appreciate it. I've been gone so long."
Michelangelo "All right. Let's do it."
Raphael "Yeah, I hear Atlantis is lovely at this time of year."
[The Turtles and Alim all leap into the water and start swimming. They speak to each other while underwater.]
Donatello "If there are any kind of energy readings from Atlantis, the Porta-Tracker will pick them up."
Alim "Then, please, let's hurry."
[They swim into a very large pipe. Shift to the Technodrome, which is rolling along on the ocean floor.]
Krang "I'm picking up some unusually strong energy readings, Shredder. It's coming from an underwater mountain range several miles to the east."
Shredder "But what is it?"
Krang "I don't know, but it might be useful. Our power reserves are limited, but we should have enough left to get the Technodrome there."
Shredder "This bucket is too slow. I'll take Bebop and Rocksteady out in one of the Amphibious Modules."
[An Amphibious Module exists the Technodrome.]
Rocksteady "Boss, look!"
[Up ahead they see a large underwater city protected by a huge transparent dome.]
Shredder "Incredible. I'd almost swear this was the legendary lost city of Atlantis."
[Krang is watching through a viewing screen.]
Krang "If it is, it contains untold power and riches."
[Shredder pilots the module to an airlock.]
Shredder "Attention. You have thirty seconds to open this airlock."
[Numerous people stand in a dry building on the other side of the airlock.]
Malathor "Please identify yourselves, strangers."
Shredder "Let us in willingly, or we blast our way in."
Malathor "Let the strangers in."
[The airlock opens and the module enters. Seeing it, the people start murmuring amongst themselves.]
Rocksteady "See, boss? They seem happy to see us."
Shredder "This is too perfect."
[The people rush right past Shredder and Rocksteady and begin bowing to Bebop.]
Malathor "At last. Our king has come."
Bebop "Uh, gee, you don't suppose they mean me."
