In an IDW alternate continuity, Hun mourns the death of his son, Casey who died at the hands of Shredder. All four of the Turtles have been brainwashed by the Shredder and Kitsune and serve as Chunin of the Foot Clan.
Seated in Skara Brae bar, Hun holds his deceased son's bloodstained hockey mask and calls Casey's name. The bartender offers him a drink on the house, and his friends say they'll raise a toast to Casey. Hun stares at the drink and then tells them to save their toasts and their sympathy because he wants none of it. He then flings the glass away as he yells that he also doesn't want the booze. When his friend, Brooklyn Bridge, asks what he does want, Hun says he wants to get the old gang back together - because he wants payback.
Back at Foot headquarters, Shredder prepares to execute Splinter, when suddenly a wall is blown open. Old Hob arrives with heavy artillery and Slash in tow. Splinter ends up battling Kitsune on the astral plane. Just as Hob and Slash are about to be overwhelmed by Foot soldiers, Hun and the Purple Dragons arrive, guns blazing.
Splinter defeats and kills Kitsune, and as Shredder prepares to strike a killing blow in retaliation, Hun hits him in the head and knocks him down. Shredder asks "Who-"? Hun tells him "The name's Arnold Jones. You killed my boy." Hun then kills Shredder with a shotgun blast to the face. He then succumbs to his own injuries.
