April O'Neil is a character appearing in the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles x Naruto crossover comic series. She is a teenaged reporter and lives in Big Apple Village.
History[]
Having traveled to Hidden Leaf Village to meet with the Fifth Hokage, Lady Tsunade, April O'Neil is being escorted back to the Northeastern trading port island of Big Apple Village by Team 7. During the trip home, April doesn't talk much, but Naruto's antics relax her enough to explain the reason for her trip. This had to do with a need to meet with a ninja biology expert for her story on experimental science. She tells of a meeting she had with scientist Baxter Stockman and his mutagenic compound.
Her tale is interrupted by the appearance of Alopex and a contingent of Foot Ninja. Alopex tells April that she is coming with the Foot Clan and orders Team 7 to hand over the reporter. As Team 7 prepares to battle the Foot Clan, newcomers drop several smoke bombs onto the scene and then handily beat down the Foot Ninja. Realizing who has arrived, Alopex departs, but not before warning that the Foot Clan will have its revenge. The smoke clears to reveal Splinter and the Turtles. Believing that Team 7 has kidnapped April, the two ninja teams face off. April, clearly recognizing the Turtles, begins to explain but then decides instead to let things play out and film it all. Team 7 and the mutants battle before Splinter calls a hold on the fight.
