April O'Neil first appeared in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles & Other Strangeness.

Disposition[]

While she is extremely hard-working and focused, April is also a noticeably happy and optimistic person. She is outgoing and concerned about others.

Personal Profile[]

An extremely intelligent young woman, April’s early focus in life was as a computer “hacker”. She gained many skills in this area as a teenager, using them to launch her career as a computer programmer, with a specialization in robotics software. Because her work stood out from others, she caught the notice of Dr. Baxter Stockman, who employed her to work with him on his “Mouser” project.

Unfortunately, the man she once thought brilliant tried to kill her when she discovered what he was actually doing with the Mousers. Having to find a new career, April turned her interest in antiques and secondhand goods into a job. The brownstone she lives in was owned by her father before he had his stroke. On the first floor is a junk store called “Second Time Around”. April now operates the store on a part-time basis. Her friends, the Ninja Turtles, live in the building as well.

Other than a few self-defense courses, April has no special fighting skills. April does keep in good shape by running and doing regular aerobics training.
