Basically, April O'Neil in the Image Comics series is the same as she was already in the Mirage comics. She lives together with Casey and Shadow, whom she treats like a daughter. While very strong, her relationship with Casey is put to the test, because he drinks here more often than in the Mirage comics because of his thirst.
