The great-great grandfather of April O'Neil is also great grandfather of Mrs. O'Neil. He founded the O'Neil Farm, which was built over the site of a Kraang Stealth Ship that had crashed long before. He discovered the ship, made the mistake of awakening the Kraang, and his family was fated for generations of Kraang biological experimentation. Through this, he became the ancestor of a bloodline of Kraang-human hybrids including both April and her mother.
