Malphie's apartment
An Apartment building appears in Coney Island Days, a 24-page special in the TMNT Adventures Comics, created in 1993 but never published. The building houses the apartments of best friends Malphie and Horton, who live there with their wives. The comic is a parody of the television show The Honeymooners. The apartment building is located in Brooklyn.
History[]
After an explosion caused by the Uncanny Trio, the Ninja Turtles strike their heads and lose their memories. They are found by Horton, who has just been laid off from his job as a sewer worker due to the damage caused by the explosion. When they are unable to tell him who they are, Horton takes the Turtles home with him. Shortly after they arrive at the apartment, Horton's neighbor and best friend Malphie arrives. He complains at having also been laid off from his job as a bus driver due to damage to the street. He soon discovers the Turtles hiding in Horton's apartment and comes up with a get rich scheme to use the four mutants as new attractions at Coney Island.
Moving the Turtles into the basement of the apartment building, Horton and Malphie set up a gym down there so the guys can work out. This is also where they sleep at night on four beds placed near the bottom of the staircase. After the Uncanny Trio is defeated, the two men celebrate with their wives at the apartment building, while the Turtles celebrate with pizza in the basement.
