"Always Be Brownies" is the twelfth episode of the second season (Episode 7A) of Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and is the fifty-eighth episode overall in the series. It first aired on May 15th, 2020.


April and Splinter encounter a gang of dangerous middle school brownie sellers and foot recruit being a idiotic

April is trying to sell some cookies in front of the Stop 'n Shop. But she fails to do so as everyone is afraid of her approach. Feeling defeated, the screen shifts to April sitting on the chair in the living room of the lair. Complaining that she can't seem to do anything right. So Splinter decides to show her a info video of him, as Lou Jitsu, giving advice using the J.I.T.S.U. method


  • Julia: I hate to beat up an old lady.
  • April: I'm 16!
  • Julia: Exactly.


  • This is the first episode in any iteration of a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles television series in which none of the Turtles appear.
  • The episode had several hints that foreshadowed the Foot Recruit's true identity.
    • The leader of the Brownie Clan is known as "Grandma CJ".
    • Various sports gear and posters were seen in the Foot Recruit's bedroom.
