In the alternate continuity of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Deviations, Shredder and Kitsune brainwash all four Ninja Turtles and force them to hunt down Splinter.
Disgusted with what she sees as the degradation of the honor of the Foot Clan, Karai expresses her feelings to Alopex. When the fox acknowledges that she feels no true loyalty to Shredder and says that there is nothing she can do about that, Karai tells her that the winds of change will soon blow in a new direction. Karai askes Alopex whose side will she take when that happens?
At Foot headquarters, Shredder prepares to execute Splinter, when suddenly a wall is blown open. Old Hob arrives with heavy artillery and Slash in tow. Splinter ends up battling Kitsune on the astral plane, while Arnold Jones and his Purple Dragons also show up to get revenge on Casey's death.
Seizing their chance to dethrone the mad Shredder, Karai and Alopex attack him. While they fight, Shredder calls Karai a "petulant child" and Alopex a "treacherous cur", before stabbing both to death. Soon after, Jones kills Shredder with a shotgun blast to the face.
