The woman who would be later known as Alex Wilde was introduced to the United States when her mother smuggled her across the Mexican/US border at an early age. One of the raid officers who confronted them, Darren Wilde, fell in love with her mother and they were married.
Tragedy would strike Alex some time thereafter, as her mother was struck by a car and killed. This led her to becoming very close with her step-father, but he, too was killed, just after she graduated from the police academy.
Alex joined the Chicago Police Department and eventually became the partner of Officer Dragon.
