The fact that he's the hammer and he chews on a nail is slightly genious.
Gotcha. Fine. Not a referance to Scott Hall.
After seeing a ton on his movies (including non-Rocky movies), I can tell. :]
@Kung fu Frogz A ton of people say "Hey yo" a lot. It's such a general convo starter for so many people, not a reference. Not to mention Stallone even says it a lot in his movies too (as well as real life).
Does he? I don't really recall I suppose. Its the toothpick that makes me think he was a direct referance to Scott Hall.

I think there was a licencing dispute with IDW. Don't expect to see Pete anymore.
Yeah I thought that too at first, I guess Stockman has gone full on Stockholm syndrome.
Baxter Stockholm
I loved this episode. I wish they would have explained where Shingami was but still a solid fun gross ride.
Yeah you can get away with anything really. As long as you don't outright call it them penises.
Well its good for couples to compliment each other about their neither regions.
I can say that the newest movie is FAR superior to the 2014 film. Megan Fox isn't in it that much, the focus in on the turtles as a family,it knows what it wants to be (it is rather silly. but at least its not trying to be silly and dark at the same time),and yes. Bebop and Rocksteady have homosexual tension. At least thats how I saw it. (There's a friggin penis joke)
Alright I'll explain why I enjoy the movies. The main reason:the turtles themselves. They act like an actual teenager would. They act like a (sometimes disfunctional) family. Sure they may get into arguements but they over came them!
"You live. You die. You fight as brothers. Nothing is as strong as family."
Another thing I enjoy is the new Bebop and Rocksteady. I understand that you probably wouldn't as you don't care for the 80s show but as someone who does...they are perfect. Their writing is well done, they encourage each other, they compliment each other and they look out for each other! This post on tumblr says it better than I could [1]
Bebop & Rocksteady
I personally enjoy the "Bay" films. Along with most other fans that i've seen. (Go check out the tumblr tmnt fandom. They love it.) But like you said, its for a new generation.
But I won't try to defend my honest to god opinion. It causes too many flame wars.
Nice big words ya got there. But I will simply restate my point.
You don't need to like it,just respect it. Like I respect your opinion. I don't agree with it. But I respect it.
