SHELL of a good episode, Raph and Mona Lisa moments, clever twist on Bishop's name, and they tied Kraang's origin ever more to the 87 version! I also like how all the humanoid suits in the show, were ripped off from the high council, furthering how Kraang is a corruption of the original Utroms.
It sucks that we didn't get some Salamandrian origin/background in this episode but I'm happy that we did get some on the Kraang and Utroms. The official species name has been Utrom the whole time and Kraang is just the brainwashed portion on the species. Boy do we have some edits to make. I've been expecting it to be this way ever since the Kraang was introduced, and it took them 3 and half seasons to confirm this!?! Jeez!
As for the episode itself, SO AWESOME. So many recurrences, so much background revealed, so many awesome action packed scenes. The Council were cool, and I've got to admit, that Utrom Queen was pretty darn cute. I'm so happy we got to see Irma again, especially because this time she was a good guy. We saw an EPIC fight between Bishop and Subprime. And the Raph and Mona Lisa moments, oh sweet Utrom, the Raph and Mona Lisa moments XD. I laughed so hard when Mona lifted Raphael to her face to kiss him. That's so cute, I love how she's the strong one of the two. We saw an all out war between the Kraang and Utrom, We heard a Booyacasha from Sal Comander (YES!), and we got a nice romantic comedy kiss with Raph and Mona Lisa for the ending scene. Best episode of the season BY FAR! I'm kind of glad that April and Casey chilled for this episode. It really opened up spotlight for all of these awesome characters.
They showed the Salamandrians just the right amount and never once felt out of place for me. And Raph and Mona's relationship got some NICE development in this episode. I'm really GLAD that Mona is officially classified as Raph's girlfriend so she's not just a side love interest like Renet. And I'm ESPECIALLY happy that Mona implied TWICE in this episode that she will return again. I CAN'T WAIT!
